About the exhibition

Preserving Ghana: The Living Archives of a Nation brings together materials conserved and studied by Awo Institute.

The exhibition includes Kwame Nkrumah’s personal papers and photographs, Ghana Armed Forces records, images from the independence era, sports and chieftaincy archives, and materials tracing the history of Highlife. Together, they offer different ways to encounter Ghana’s shared memory.
